~Paul DeDear~

 YOAKUM: Clyde Paul DeDear, Jr (Scooter) age 68, passed away Friday, July 4, 2025. He was born April 29, 1957 in Refugio to Clyde DeDear, Sr and Mildred Weber DeDear.

Paul was a hard worker from a very young age. As a pre-teen, he started work at a full gas station pumping gas and cleaning windshields. He then became a sheet rocker working on the One O'Connor Plaza building in Victoria, and many other businesses and homes throughout the Crossroads area. He later worked for Friedel Drilling company and was eventually hired at Kaspar Wire Works where he worked for many years until he retired. He also enjoyed working as a roadie for the Bill Pekar band and playing with his dog Axel.

Survivors: sister, Pauline Culak (Chris); nieces, Lynn Booker (Sherry), Susie Eggemeyer (Jason), Trish Bogle (Tim), Angel Johnson (Eric) and Bobbie Jo Wood; nephews, Christian Culak (Amanda) and Joshua Culak (Paige).

Preceded in death by: parents; sister, Sally Shavalier.

Visitation 1:00 p.m. then a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.
