YOAKUM: J. B. Foster, age 75, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010. He was born on November 17, 1934, in Cropwell, Alabama to Scottie Lee and Laura Ellen Heaslet Foster.
He was a retired salesman for NCR, a veteran of the U. S. Army, from 1953-1955, and was a Baptist.
Survivors: wife, Peggy J. Foster of Yoakum; son, Keith Alan Foster and wife Joyce of Katy; daughter, Vickie Elaine Bailes and husband Terry of Huntington, W. Va.; grandchildren, Rebecca, Rachael, Amanda and Clinton; great-grandchild, Kaliey; sisters, Juanita Jenkins of Lafayette, La., and Ann Welton of Snellville, Ga.; brothers, Bob Foster of Tyler and David Foster of Newberry, S.C.
Preceded in death by: parents, and brothers, Bill and Ralph Foster.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.
Graveside services were at 11:00 a. m. on Friday at Restland Cemetery with Pastor Kenny Hibbs officiating.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
