~Mary Pargmann~

YOAKUM: Mary (Abrameit) Pargmann, age 84, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024.

She and her twin sister, Margaret were born February 24, 1940 at the family home in Schroeder, Texas to Hugo and Dorothy (Albrecht) Abrameit.

She attended Schroeder School and graduated from Goliad High School. She was a homemaker and helped Wilburn on the farm. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She was active in numerous church activities, such as Lutheran Church Women, Quilters and Chancel. She enjoyed traveling with Wilburn, playing dominos and going on cruises.

Survivors: husband of 65 years, Wilburn Pargmann; daughter, Teresa Janak (Randy) of Goliad; son, Terry Pargmann (Kathy) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jenny Gonzales (Andrew), Justin Janak (Ashley), Lesley Horne (Justin), Anya Pargmann and Melissa McAninch (Tanner); ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Post, Vida Burnett, Alice Schneider and Dorothy Bowman (David); brothers, Archie Abrameit (Virginia) and Michael Abrameit (Sharon); brothers-in-law, Robert Pargmann (Rita) and Richard Gisler.

Preceded in death by: parents, Hugo and Dorothy Abrameit; twin sister, Margaret Gisler and Wilburn's parents, Lee and Elenora Pargmann.

Visitation 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.

Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Alsen Wenzel officiating. Burial Hermann Sons Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Justin Janak, Andrew Gonzales, Justin Horne, Keith Bowman, Bryan Pargmann and Andrew Abrameit.

Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Hermann Sons Cemetery.

Wilburn and his family would like to thank Dr. Marshall Bishop and the staff at Wagner Medical Clinic, staff at Stevens Health Care, Valerie and Jackie and their assistants for their loving support to Mary, the staff at City Drug and Crown Hospice where she was known as Miss Mary. Also, to Pastor Alsen Wenzel, family members and many friends for their love and support.
