~Anthony Hights~
SHINER: Anthony Hights, 52, passed away on January 27, 2026. He was born on January 13, 1974 in Shiner to Willie Hights, Sr. and Evelyn Joyce Clark Hights. Anthony grew up in San Antonio. He started his education in San Antonio where he was an outstanding football and basketball player. During grade school, he took his talents to Shiner where he graduated in 1993. He worked at Kaspar Wireworks and then at Eddy Packing in Yoakum. Anthony loved his family. He did not have children of his own, but he loved hanging out with his nieces and nephews. He loved receiving and spilling the “tea”. His favorite pastime was sitting around joking and playing dominoes. When you saw Anthony, he was drinking a soda water or requesting one. IYKYK!! Survivors are his sisters, Windy Hights of Yoakum, Antoinette Hights (Donnell) of Shiner, La Tonia Hights of San Antonio, Barbara Curtis of Yoakum and Eliyon Robinson of San Antonio; numerous nieces and nephews and special great niece, Jordyn Wells. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Willie Hights, Jr. Visitation 12 p.m., followed by Funeral Service at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home with David Greathouse officiating.
