~Ralph Mylius~

YOAKUM: Ralph Michael Mylius, age 66, died at his home in Austin, TX on Thursday, February 26, 2026 surrounded by his family.

Ralph was born on March 30, 1959 in Yoakum, TX to the late Herman and Dorothy Mylius.

He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Ralph loved watching the Astros, the Spurs, the Longhorns and the Cowboys. Additionally, Ralph loved going with his Dad to check on the cattle and tending to the farm and going on long walks with his Mom and visiting friends around town in Yoakum. He enjoyed traveling with his family, attending Longhorns baseball, women’s softball and basketball games and listening to music and watching action movies. Ralph endured, but bravely fought epilepsy seizures for almost 59 years.


Ralph was preceded in death by his father -Herman Anton Mylius, mother- Dorothy Ann (Chilek) Mylius and sister -Catherine. He is survived by his sisters: Nancy S. Mylius, Wanda J. Mylius, Sherri A. Mylius, Pamela K. Anderson and Debra M. Mylius; also his brothers Jerry W.(Bonni) Mylius and Paul H. (Dottie) Mylius. He is also survived by 4 nephews and 3 nieces.


A rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 with a funeral mass to follow directly after at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Burial to follow at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery.

Snacks, sandwiches & refreshments will be served immediately following the burial at The Pavilion directly adjacent to the church.


Serving as pallbearers will be Lukas Mylius, Jacob Mylius, Peyton Anderson, Tristan Anderson, Chase Kelley, Chris Blumentritt. Honorary Pallbearers: Michael Machalec, Mauricio Rodriquez and Frank Soltani.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Arc Capital Area or the Special Olympics in memory of Ralph.
