~James "Jim" Nolte~
YOAKUM: James "Jim" Vincent Nolte, age 91, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026. He was born June 29, 1934 in Westhoff to Henry J. and Carrie Jurach Nolte. He worked at Kaspar Wire Works and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Jim was a man of faith known for his love of the Holy Bible and sharing the Word of God. He loved and cherished his family and friends. Jim enjoyed many simple and joyful things in life. Throughout his life he enjoyed checking on his property, watching old western movies, music and dancing, playing dominoes and good food. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Shiner V.F.W. Survived by: wife, Adilmira (Mila) Maciel Nolte; sons, Russell Nolte and Ray Martinez (Tina); daughter, Norma Hebert (Joseph); grandchildren; Jake Nolte, Justin Martinez (Morgan) and Ashley Martinez, Patricia Hebert, Joseph Hebert, III and a great grandchild, Miles Martinez; sister, Jeanice Turner. Preceded in death: parents; wife, Delores Nolte; brothers, Clifton Nolte, Roy Nolte, Sr and Claud Nolte; sister, Carrie Mae Buchhorn. Visitation 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral service 2;00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Rusty Bailey officiating. Burial Hermann Sons Cemetery. Pallbearers: James Schnelle, John Schnelle, Arlen Buchhorn, Michael Buchhorn, Roy Nolte Jr., and Long Muy. Honorary Pallbearers: Rodney Nolte and Thomas Schnelle Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Disease Research or Disabled American Veterans.
