~Abby Pohler~
YOAKUM: Abby Jolynn Pohler, 40, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at her home in Seguin. She was born on July 15, 1985, in Yoakum, to Lynn Autrey and Claude Lee Pohler. A 2003 graduate of Yoakum High School, Abby was an award-winning Bulldog mascot who knew how to entertain. Abby attended Texas A&M University and was a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2008. She was also a member of the Guadalupe County A&M Club and the Seguin Sunrise Lions Club. Abby enjoyed teaching and was exceptionally gifted at working with troubled youth. Abby’s sense of humor and style will be truly missed as she was the light and laughter in so many lives. Affectionately known as “Abby Jones”, one of the greatest honors of her short life was being an aunt to her four nieces and two nephews. Along with her parents, Abby is survived by her brothers, Lange Pohler (Paula) and Max Pohler (Jenny), her nieces, Carrigan, Cora, Natalie, and Lori Pohler, and her nephews, Crosby and Autrey Pohler, and many precious aunts, uncles, and cousins. Abby also left behind her beloved cat, Andafur. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dan and Maxine Autrey of Yoakum, and Edwin and Eddy Lee Pohler of Shiner. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 11am, with visitation beginning at 10am, at the United Methodist Church of Yoakum with the Rev. Dr. Warren Hornung officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Abby’s nephews, Crosby Pohler and Autrey Pohler, cousins, Luke Ramsay, Darren Boone, Jack Brown, Ross Hrncir, Jake Haskell, Logan Ramsay, Skylar Maxwell, and Craig Pohler, and dear friend Robert Shaw.
