~Anna Ruby Wigginton~

YOAKUM: Ruby Moore Wigginton, 86, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026. She was born on September 12, 1939, in Shiner to the late Alois and Elvira (Stock) Simper. 

Ruby was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yoakum. She served as the Postmistress in Hochheim and was a member of KJZT as well as a member of the Friends of the Carl and Mary Welhausen Library. Ruby loved to stay busy and attended various community senior citizens events.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Kathy Moore of Yoakum and Elaine Freimel of La Grange, son Donnie Moore (Nancy) of Victoria; 9 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Julius Simper of Victoria, and Thomas Simper of Yoakum and lastly, she is survived by her loyal fur companion, Princess.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Donald Ray Moore and Donald Ray Wigginton; son Kenneth (Bubba) Moore and great-grandson, Payton Jiral.

Rosary at 9:45 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2026 with Funeral Mass to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating.  Entombment to follow at the Restland Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Friends of the Carl and Mary Welhausen Library
